Oak Cliff voted, and we are still smiling: Best Dance Company 2026

We have some news we cannot stop dancing about. Oak Cliff Dance has been named Best Dance Company in the Oak Cliff Advocate's Best of 2026 awards!

What makes this one special is how it happened. The Best Of nominees are chosen by Advocate Media's staff and readers, and then the whole neighborhood votes. That means this award did not come from a panel of judges. It came from you: the parents in the lobby, the dancers who show up every week ready to work, the grandparents at recitals, and the neighbors who cheer us on.

To every family who voted, thank you. To our dancers, this is yours. You are the reason people notice what happens in this studio. And to our teachers and staff, who pour their hearts into every class, every combo, and every costume change backstage, we could not be prouder of the community you have built.

We also want to tip our hats to our fellow nominees, Alegre Ballet Folklorico and Mudanza Movement. Oak Cliff is lucky to have a dance community this rich, and we are honored to share the floor with you.

Since the day we opened our doors, our belief has been simple: dance should be available to everyone. Winning Best Dance Company tells us that Oak Cliff believes it too. We do not take that trust lightly, and we will keep earning it, one plie at a time.
