Recognizing the strong interest in dance throughout the Oak Cliff community, Melissa opened Oak Cliff Dance, a studio space offering classes, private lessons, and custom choreography. Jade Parrish

Instructor

Jade is a Dallas native and began dancing at the age of 5 after joining a local dance studio. Within that year, she began attending dance competitions and continued to dance competitively for 9 consecutive years, winning multiple team and individual awards. Jade quickly found a love for jazz, tap, and the modeling portion of these competitions. While dancing competitively, she also began her professional modeling career and was featured in several national catalogs, advertisements, and hair campaigns.

After taking a break to focus on school, Jade found her way back into dance, taking classes and performing in several shows at her alma mater, Purdue University. Since college, Jade has continued her dance training, taking classes and performing around the DFW area whenever she can.

Along the way,  she has trained in contemporary ballet, jazz, tap, modern and hip hop, with over 17 years of experience in dance. Her love of dance and passion for all of its benefits led her to want to teach the young dancers in our community.  Jade joined the Oak Cliff Dance Studio in November 2016. She teaches our 2/3 year old and 4/5 year old Saturday classes at 9am and 10am.

Scarlett McGraw

Ballet Instructor

Scarlett came from the Ozsoy School of Ballet in Duncanville, TX, where she danced for 14 years. She began dancing at the young age of 3 at Stacia’s School of Dance. Her mother realized that her daughter’s true passion was ballet, so she found a more ballet-focused school. Scarlett went through her years at Ozsoy striving to be the best. At the age of 12, Scarlett received her letter that deemed her strong enough to begin pointe. That same year Scarlett auditioned for Joffrey Ballet’s summer intensive where she attended for four consecutive years— three years in New York City and one year in Denton, TX.

Scarlett’s love for dance has grown immensely throughout the years. She plans to audition for TCU’s ballet program next year and minor in ballet as an undergraduate student.

Scarlett currently leads the ballet program at Oak Cliff Dance. She enjoys teaching the discipline and technique to beginners and more advanced students.
